MATTSON MATCH CHALLENGE

Your donation to HANWASH today will immediately unlock a matching donation from the Steve and Mary Mattson Fund.

Dollar for dollar.

Our year-end giving appeal aims to raise $100,000 by December 31, 2024.

No gift is too small and all amounts will be matched. Thank you for your support!

Amounts over $1,000 will result in lifetime membership in the HANWASH Society.

Amounts over $10,000 are classified as a Major Gift. Major Donors will be recognized in certain HANWASH marketing materials and at certain HANWASH events.

We are excited to report that as of June 30, 2024, our total fundraising result since September 1, 2022, is $1,304,725 from all sources, against total grant funds received from the Mattson DAF to date of $240,000. The result represents 130% of the Year 1 Mattson target of $1 million and 18.1% of the 5-year Mattson target of $7.2 million.

The Mattson Foundation

Steve Mattson, who passed away in 2015, and his wife Mary, established a Donor-Advised Fund in care of The Rotary Foundation to fund a large-scale initiative like HANWASH and had a vision of using the wealth to motivate others to support good causes. The executors of the estate have committed to providing up to $2.4 million between now and the end of 2028 on the condition that HANWASH raise additional donations, grants, and investments in Haiti of an additional $7.2 million, for total investments in water and sanitation in Haiti of nearly $10 million.
